Jeff Mallinson joined Trinity Lutheran College in 2008 and serves as Academic Dean and Professor of Theology & Philosophy.
He earned his undergraduate degree in religion from Concordia University, Irvine, and his doctorate from the University of Oxford, where his studies, with advisor Alister McGrath, focused on religious epistemology in Reformation thought. He has served as a youth worker, middle school teacher, and as a college faculty member.
Jeff is the author of Faith Reason and Revelation in Theodore Beza (Oxford, 2003), “Epistemology” in Menuge and Heck eds., Learning at the Foot of the Cross (Concordia University Press, forthcoming), and “Epistemology of the Cross: A Lutheran Response to Philosophical Theisms,” in Maas, Francisco, and Mueller eds., Theologia et Apologia (Wipf & Stock, 2007) as well as other articles, professional papers, and book reviews.
He, his wife Stacie, and two sons, Augustin and Aidan, enjoy living in the Pacific Northwest with all the opportunities for fishing, hiking and foraging.
