Going to class and studying is only part of college life! Outside of class, you need to have fun, get to know other people, and blow off steam!
Trinity has numerous opportunities for you to be involved in campus life:
Service Learning
God calls us into a lifestyle of service. Trinity affirms that call by providing opportunities for students to discover their spiritual gifts and talents and to learn to use them for the sake of others. As part of the Trinity Core Curriculum, Service Learning Practicum (SLP) provides full-time students the opportunity to be engaged in public service each week. SLP sites include churches, preschools, tutoring centers, mission agencies, youth centers, and more. For more information, visit the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning.
GTs
GTs are “Get Togethers,” student activities planned by the Resident Assistant Team that are held in the Trinity Apartments or off-site. GTs are weekly fun events and activities to strengthen community life.
Associated Student Body
Every student at Trinity is a member of the Associated Student Body (ASB), who elect officers to represent student opinions in decision-making and action. The Student Government is made up of executive officers, chairs of student commissions, and student representatives. Commissions (open to all students) plan and facilitate various campus activities such as worship, social events, athletics, and special emphasis weeks.
Worship
Trinity is committed to the spiritual growth of each student. In order to facilitate spiritual growth, each member of the community is encouraged to worship regularly at chapel services held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Prayer and Praise, an evening worship services, is also offered. We also encourage you to participate regularly in a local congregation, of which there are many.
Everett Family YMCA
Trinity students receive a free membership to the Everett Family YMCA, located just one block from the Campus Center. The YMCA offers a complete health and wellness center, gyms, an aerobic studio, two indoor pools, a hot tub, indoor walking/running tracks, a racquetball court, and a host of fitness classes and programs.
Trinity Lutheran College Choir
Students with an interest in singing and/or instrumental music are invited to participate in the college choir. Concerts are held throughout the year, including the Advent Festival Concerts held in early December.
Intercollegiate Athletics
Trinity’s soccer, golf, and cross country programs compete on an intercollegiate level. The teams are focused on athletics and teamwork on the field, as well as leadership off the field in various areas of community service. Students gather at games to cheer the team on. Read more about our athletics program.
Club Sports
Students have the opportunity to be active in club sports within the Everett/Snohomish County community. These sports may include volleyball, rowing, soccer, hockey, basketball, and recreational skiing. Currently, Trinity hosts a running club for those interested in running for basic fitness.
Mud Bowl
Mud Bowl is a flag football game held in mid-October. Alumni, current students, faculty and staff divide into two teams: Washington vs. The World.
Gals Dinner for Guys/Guys Dinner for Gals
Students plan dinner and a night of entertainment for the opposite sex!
Playfest
A popular, campus-wide event, Playfest usually involves presenting a musical comprised of an all-student cast. It is generally held each spring in conjunction with Family Weekend.
Trinity Retreats
Fall Retreat is a way for the Trinity community members to get to know each other at the start of the year and begin creating lasting friendships.
Spring Retreat allows the entire Trinity community to celebrate the end of the year with games, activities, worship, relaxation, recreation and fellowship at an off-site location.
Create a Club
If there is a student who is passionate about a topic or hobby they are welcome to create a club and find members to join in! Clubs are approved and funded through Student Government.
